Collected essays, 1992.

A collection of essays and short sketches written by members of a creative writing class taught by Lenore M. Coberly at the Segoe Senior Center, Madison, Wis. The assignment was to "tell what you did one day at a time during World War II." Included are recollections of basic training, a nurse's work at the Badger Ordnance plant (Baraboo, Wis.), experiences with hoarding rationed supplies, and a story written by a Madison, Wis. woman who sheltered a Japanese pacifist minister stranded in Wisconsin after war with Japan broke out.
